SCS - Do I need to wear sunscreen if I am using an acid-containing face product (serum, gel, cream)?

When using a hyaluronic acid containing product on the face, apply serum/gel first and allow to dry/absorb into skin. Follow up with your moisturizer, then your sunscreen. Applying sunscreen last allows the product still to work and add continuous protection to the skin.If combining with skin care ordered by practitioner or other acids (example: salicylic acid).

Different sunscreens can also be applied differently. Apply chemical sunscreens that need to be absorbed first, and mineral sunscreens (like moisturizers physical block sunscreens) last.

Studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is safe and beneficial for everyday use for maintaining and protecting the moisture/hydration in the skin.

If you are currently seeing a dermatologist or skin care professional, are on medicated skin products, or have recently gone through or are currently going through a skin treatment/procedure, please ask your healthcare practitioner if this product is right for you.
