SCS - Can I take BioShieldMD if I already have a virus?

BioShieldMD is intended to strengthen your immune system and lower inflammation in your body. Flavonoids in it have been proven to support a healthy, balanced cytokine response. There are several ingredients in BioShield+ that can potentially improve your condition. However, if your body is already overreacting to the virus, we cannot predict its response to any specific ingredient. BioShieldMD is made from food sources and there has been no evidence suggesting any foods or herbs can aggravate the condition of cytokine storm, however, we strongly recommend you consult with your primary physician before taking any new supplement. Since we don’t know your particular medical history we cannot predict the outcome of taking a new supplement for you.

Here is what you need to focus on right now:

  • 1. Eat more foods rich in antioxidants like berries, dark leafy greens, and green tea. Vitamin C is a super-powerful antioxidant. It’s been clinically studied and successfully used in China during the first outbreak. You could talk to a Naturopathic Doctor about it, they can administer high doses of Vitamin C intravenously.
  • 2. Focus on detoxification of your body. Virus is doing a lot of damage in your body and you need to be able to effectively flush out all of the dead cells. Drink plenty of water, eat cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, kale), lemon, ginger, beetroot. Make sure you are consuming plenty of fiber (fresh salads) and going to the bathroom every day. It is crucial to avoid constipation so that the toxins produced by the virus do not stay in your body. Avoid overeating.
  • 3. Follow an anti-inflammatory diet. Avoid simple sugars, breads, pasta, processed foods, vegetable oils, sugary drinks. Increase the amount of Omega-3 rich foods (fatty fish like salmon and sardines, flax seeds, chia seeds), dark leafy greens, berries, healthy fats like avocado and extra virgin olive oil.

Apart from the diet, you can also do these things to lower inflammation in your body:

#1 low impact exercises like yoga and walking (preferably outside).

#2 as a general rule of thumb you need to drink 64 oz of purified water daily.

#3 rest - the body heals when you are in a deep sleep. You need at least 7-8 hrs of uninterrupted sleep at night.

#4 get at least 15 minutes a day of sunlight on your face.

#5 minimize toxins in the food you eat (choose fresh organic food as often as possible) - reduce the number of chemicals you are putting ON your body too in the form of body products.

#6 improved mindset - what we think, see, hear, feel can be toxic too. Having a positive outlook makes everything better.

#7 practice good digestive health (chew your food well, eat healthy, get probiotics, avoid toxins)

Of course, these are only suggestions. You should always check with your trusted health care provider to make sure the changes you are making are safe for you.
